Course Accreditation

All students will receive an official certificate of attendance directly from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI). Completion of this course entitles delegates to 16 CPE credits.

The course is aimed at professionals that have a foundational understanding of Business Continuity and Risk Management and those who require an in-depth and practical understanding of how to carry out a BIA and RA at all levels of an organization.

Course Objectives

The objectives of this training course are to understand:

The purpose and the use of the primary techniques of analysis: Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessment (RA)
The different types of BIA, their purpose and the generic activities undertaken to develop a BIA
The MTPD, RTO and howe these are determined
RA in the context of the BCMS

Course Methodology

The learning methodology uses a mixture of presentations, discussions, case studies, video content and interactive exercises and knowledge checks to transform participant knowledge into hands-on practice in a safe environment.

Course Description

This course provides an in-depth look into the Analysis Professional Practice of the Business Continuity Management System. It provides the student with deeper knowledge and understanding of this key area in order to plan for BC strategies and solutions.

The course is broken down into 6 modules over 2 days, using case studies and practical exercises. It is based on the BCI Good Practice Guidelines 7.0 Edition and reflects the current global thinking from ISO 22301:2019 and ISO 22317:2021.

Course Fees

The course fees include the BCI royalty fees as well as the learning material. The BCI uses data from the World Bank to determine the pricing structure. The course fees are depending on the place of residency/ company registration. Please contact us for pricing details.
